Job description

Gov Solutions Group is seeking an experienced RPA Developer to join our team supporting automation and digital transformation efforts within government and defense environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and deploying robotic process automation solutions, with a strong preference for UiPath experience. This role requires the ability to translate business processes into effective automation solutions while working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This position is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions using UiPath and industry best practices.
  • Analyze and document business processes to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain attended and unattended automation solutions within customer environments.
  • Configure and manage automation workflows, including integration with enterprise applications and systems.
  • Support the full RPA lifecycle from process discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Prepare technical documentation, presentations, process analyses, and recommendations to support client decision-making.
  • Support development and implementation of RPA standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective automation solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to help strengthen customer and team capabilities in process analysis, bot development, and automation management.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT-related field.
  • 1+ years of hands-on automation, software development, scripting, or related technical development experience; RPA experience using UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or a similar platform preferred.
  • Experience developing automation solutions and related technical documentation, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Foundational experience with a programming or scripting language and an understanding of common software development concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, client-facing environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Position Desired:
  • Experience developing and deploying attended and unattended UiPath robots, including UiPath Orchestrator and the Robotic Enterprise Framework (REFramework).
  • UiPath Certified RPA Associate or comparable RPA certification.
  • Experience delivering UiPath solutions within the Department of Defense or U.S. Federal Government.
  • Experience with enterprise applications and platforms such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, or comparable business systems.
  • Experience working with APIs, structured data, databases, JSON, Excel/CSV data, or system-to-system integrations.
  • Experience with process discovery, requirements elicitation, automation opportunity assessment, business process improvement, and automation lifecycle management.
  • Experience using project management, work management, or issue-tracking platforms in support of Scrum, Kanban, hybrid, or other Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate requirements discussions, and evaluate alternative automation approaches.
  • Experience providing RPA training, mentoring, or knowledge transfer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, IT/Business Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Active DoD security clearance.
