Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be integral to the mental health support process. In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of clients to understand their needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Maintaining effective communication with a multidisciplinary team, including supervisors and other healthcare staff, as well as clientsโ€™ families and support systems.
  • Providing a structured schedule to supervisors outlining appointments, home visits, and necessary observations to track client progress.
  • Coordinating in-home visits to engage with clients in their personal environments, performing chart reviews and data analysis to monitor treatment efficiency.
  • Implementing treatment plans that align with established therapeutic goals, adjusting these as needed to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Participating in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to discuss case developments and treatment strategies.
  • Documenting client progress through detailed notes on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Leading training sessions for new staff members to ensure competence in program implementation and documentation.
  • Following up with clients through interviews and home visits to provide continued support and reassess treatment plans.
  • Acting as a liaison within the mental health community, promoting awareness and advocacy for client development.
  • Contributing to the development of training materials that enhance program quality and improve client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Thriving Center of Counseling, you will work with a diverse client population that includes both adults and youth. Our focus is on personalizing care to address a wide array of challenges, including trauma, substance misuse, and family issues. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license within Washington State.
  • At least 2 years of clinical counseling experience, demonstrating proficiency in the field.
