The Positive Progress Counseling Center is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dedicated team. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our team operates from a virtual platform that fosters collaboration and support among professionals, ensuring that you always have access to resources and guidance. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring consistency for both the counselors and our clients. Our telehealth facility is equipped with secure communication tools that ensure client confidentiality and ease of access.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological well-being and specific care needs of elderly clients.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions tailored to help seniors navigate emotional challenges associated with aging, including dealing with grief and loss.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other mental health professionals and healthcare providers, to deliver holistic care and integrate therapeutic goals.
• Lead educational seminars for families and staff on effective strategies to improve the mental health and facilities' emotional climate for seniors.
• Document client progress using electronic health record systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records while adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development sessions to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

This position centers around serving the senior population, focusing on individuals dealing with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, and adjustment disorders due to life transitions. • A minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health or counseling environment.
• Current eligibility for licensure in the State of Washington as a mental health counselor.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing to facilitate potential outreach needs.
• Strong communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Exceptional listening capabilities with the ability to provide empathic support while guiding clients through challenging emotional issues.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage client files and documentation effectively.

• Previous experience working with senior populations and understanding the unique mental health challenges they face.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and electronic health records.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver educational programs or workshops related to mental health.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
