Qualifications
To qualify for a GS-07, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience performing administrative or human resources-related work, such as assisting with personnel actions, staffing activities, document preparation, records management, customer service, maintaining data, or performing similar support functions.

To qualify for a GS-05, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems, technology, policies, and procedures.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to public service.
