Job description

Lineage aspires to become the most dynamic, temperature-controlled logistics company on the planet, helping to eliminate waste and feed the world. Our Product Management organization exists to enable that mission by spearheading Lineage's technology transformation. Lineage is changing the way warehouses operate around the globe, while incorporating sustainable business practices, integrating transportation services, and empowering customers and partners across the supply chain with end-to-end visibility and control. At the core of everything is data, which is the lifeblood of our business and our products.
At Lineage, our six values - Safe, Trust, Respect, Innovation, Bold, and Servant Leadership - define who we are as a company and guide our actions as we reimagine the journey of food.
We are seeking a Product Owner for the Data Solutions - Centralized Data Assets team to own and manage the delivery of Lineage's core enterprise data platforms including:
Operational Data Store (ODS) - a PostgreSQL-based, near real-time data warehouse supporting operational reporting and real-time use cases
Analytical Data Store (ADS) - a Snowflake-based historical data warehouse supporting enterprise analytics, trending metrics, and data science use cases
The Product Owner is responsible for backlog ownership, prioritization, and execution across both platforms. This role works closely with Product Managers, data engineering teams, architects, and a broad set of business stakeholders to ensure the Centralized Data Assets team delivers high-quality, scalable, and reliable data solutions aligned with enterprise priorities.
The role requires strong technical fluency, comfort operating in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives, systems, and rollout schedules simultaneously.
This is a REMOTE opportunity.
We are not sponsoring work authorization for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Product Owner for the Centralized Data Assets team, owning backlog prioritization and delivery for the enterprise Operational Data Store (ODS) and Analytical Data Store (ADS).

  • Translate product strategy and stakeholder needs into clear epics, features, and user stories, balancing business value, technical dependencies, platform capacity, and delivery timelines.

  • Partner with stakeholders across operations, analytics, data science, finance, and technology to gather requirements, manage expectations, and support multiple concurrent initiatives and phased rollout schedules.

  • Provide strong technical context to data engineering teams by translating business problems into technical problem statements, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting solution design discussions.

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to coordinate dependencies across data platforms, pipelines, and consuming systems, and to proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks.

  • Lead sprint-level execution for the Centralized Data Assets team, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, and review completed work to ensure requirements and quality standards are met.

  • Support release readiness through clear stakeholder communication and accurate, up-to-date documentation of centralized data assets.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, or Data Engineer supporting data-centric products

  • Strong technical fluency in data management and processing concepts, including:

  • SQL

  • Operational and analytical data warehouse architecture

  • Real-time and batch data processing patterns

  • Proven ability to coordinate delivery across multiple systems, teams, and concurrent initiatives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and modern SDLC practices

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL and Snowflake-based data platforms

  • Familiarity with data integration approaches including APIs, EDI, ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming, and file-based ingestion

  • Experience supporting operational reporting, enterprise analytics, and data science use cases

  • Experience using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and data documentation or diagramming tools

  • Logistics, supply chain, or large-scale enterprise data experience
