You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Work with engineering leadership, business leadership, and product teams to design, implement and optimize data integrations for the CPS Pharmacy Solutions business
  • Play a pivotal role in driving innovation and scalability in data integration processes (inbound and outbound).  Integrations should be automated, optimized for performance, reliable, recoverable and auditable
  • Collaborate with AI teams to identify and ingest data to satisfy their needs
  • Work within Optum's Enterprise Data Strategy to consume and share data in the most efficient manner - data mesh enablement, data mastering, data governance, data certification and self- service
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM related engineering field
  • 5 years of experience modeling, designing, building, and supporting data integration processes (consumption and sharing)
  • 5 years of experience SQL, Python and data libraries used in data integration, i.e. profiling, transforming and validating large datasets
  • Demonstrated experience with AI tools and libraries for building AI data corpora, models, and agents using large language models (LLMs)
  • Demonstrated familiarity with best practices for data flow patterns for data ingestion, data sharing and data product delivery
  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Specialty Pharmacy and/or Healthcare experience; aptitude for acquiring solid industry knowledge
  • Experience with modern healthcare data transport mechanisms and tools ie HL7, FHIR, Redox, Mirth, HIE
  • Databricks experience and/or certifications - Lake House, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, pipeline integration
  • Proven deep team involvement throughout the SDLC - a track record of performing code reviews and establishing best practices for team members

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
