Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country’s most challenging technical problems. Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a full-time GEOINT Analyst. This position conducts geospatial analysis of objects, networks, and persons using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, social and physical sciences. Exploits imagery, vector, and other data types to include non-geospatially correlated data to locate, identify, and map objects in the spatial domain. Provides analysis on, but is not limited to, terrain mapping, route planning, and maritime geospatial activity.

Position based in Charlottesville, VA and requires approximately 4 months at a time deployed to OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides non-literal analysis to produce intelligence products, using remote sensing methodologies, on data from a range of airborne and space-based imaging sensors.
  • Applies customized algorithms, tools, and methodologies for exploitation of GEOINT imagery, focusing on new approaches and capabilities to operational missions.
  • Assist Imagery Scientists in developing novel analytical methodologies to be applied to challenging remote sensing problem sets.
  • Utilize analytic tools and techniques such as geographic information systems (GIS), data visualization and modeling, systems analysis, comparative analysis, and database development.
  • Supports GEOINT collection experiments and employs measures of effectiveness to assess remote sensing system capabilities. Understands the capabilities of GEOINT systems and sensors and their potential application to the intelligence mission.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with Geospatial Analysis
  • Experience with producing 3D models and visualizations of buildings, terrain, or equipment by utilizing all forms of imagery, including NTM, commercial, airborne, Google Sketch-Up software, or RealSite
  • Experience with using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, database entry, graphics design principles, ArcGIS, QT Modeler, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, RemoteView, or SocetGXP
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry
  • Ability to annotate Map Graphics, displaying geospatial data according to a provided format, including all pertinent reference information, such as scale, geolocation indicators, legend, title, classification, and projection information
  • Ability to process and analyze geospatial data to solve intelligence problems
  • Ability to process Geospatial Data layers to retrieve data from appropriate sources, including ArcGIS, Excel, or Pathfinder, and format it for inclusion into a geospatial database or Geospatial data viewer, such as ArcGIS or FalconView
  • TS/SCI clearance
