Job description

Position / Title:  SQL Programmer, DBA, and ERP Applications Support Bargaining Unit:   NON-UNION Department/Location: Information Services Calendar Days: 260 Reports To: Manager of Curriculum Applications JD Revision Date: 04/13/2026 Supervises: N/A

Function / Position Summary

Enhance District performance by providing SQL programming, database, reporting, and application support for the District's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Finance systems. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for ERP-related data, reporting, integrations, and application support across Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and Finance. Coordinate with vendors and internal Information Services teams to maintain system reliability, data integrity, and timely issue resolution. Maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and departmental information in accordance with District policies and applicable regulations.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact and liaison for ERP functional users, providing timely analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination of issue resolution.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts and queries to support ERP data analysis, reporting, and operational needs.
  • Develop, document, and maintain data integrations and data exchanges between Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and related systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools as assigned.
  • Oversee and support the day-to-day technical operation of the ERP system, coordinating with vendors and internal Information Services teams as appropriate.
  • Serve as the technical liaison for ERP, timekeeping, and related applications, including coordination of remote access, software issues, patches and updates, security configurations, SFTP transmissions, and related support activities.
  • Monitor system backups and coordinate ERP backup and recovery activities with the Information Services server and infrastructure teams.
  • Assist with planning, testing, and implementation of ERP software updates, utilities, and related tools; diagnose and support resolution of ERP application performance and printing issues.
  • Develop, document, and maintain system configuration, installation, and operational standards related to ERP and supporting applications.
  • Provide technical support and assistance for Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and Finance systems and data-related issues as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of ERP, data, and application support responsibilities.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field required. Equivalent education and professional experience may be substituted.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle database environments, including basic administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or comparable reporting tools.
  • Experience writing and maintaining complex SQL queries and scripts.
  • Working knowledge of IIS server environments and TCP/IP networking concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of data security standards and privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA).
  • Experience with Google Workspace tools, including Google Sheets and Apps Script preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, or AWS preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • General understanding of Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Payroll, Accounting, and Purchasing processes preferred.
  • Experience supporting integrated ERP systems preferred (e.g., Skyward, Workforce Software).

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work on a computer over a major portion of the workday. 

Terms of Employment

  • This is a 12-month position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education and set forth in the collective bargaining agreement as applicable.
  • The salary range for this position is $66,260.00 - $99,391.00.  Our typical practice is to hire in between the minimum and midpoint $82,826.00.
