Job description

Join a dynamic enterprise data team as a Senior Data Management Business Analyst supporting strategic data initiatives, modernization efforts, governance programs, and end-to-end data delivery activities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with business and technical partners to shape data solutions, improve data quality, and strengthen data transparency across complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, clarify, validate, and document business and data requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and interviews to understand objectives, challenges, and data needs.
  • Translate business needs into data specifications, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data quality rules.
  • Analyze current-state and future-state data flows, integrations, and enterprise data movement patterns.
  • Perform data profiling, impact analysis, root-cause analysis, gap analysis, and validation activities across multiple systems.
  • Support lineage documentation and traceability from source systems through reporting, analytics, and operational use.
  • Review and interpret existing ETL processes and data flow artifacts to support modernization and enhancement efforts.
  • Maintain documentation for project delivery, testing, operational readiness, governance reviews, and audit support.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data modelers, architects, governance teams, and delivery partners to align on solutions.
  • Support intake, planning, testing, UAT, defect triage, and implementation readiness activities.
  • Assist with Critical Data Element identification, certification, stewardship, and remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to metadata management and data catalog documentation to improve visibility and trust in data assets.
Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, data management, data integration, governance, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to document business rules, data requirements, mappings, and data flow diagrams.
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with enterprise data environments, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proven ability to perform data profiling, validation, lineage analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working in large, complex enterprise settings.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
