Job description

Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is a leading consulting firm, and they are seeking a Data Visualization Engineer to help unlock insights from complex data sets. In this role, you will leverage your data science expertise to assist clients in making informed decisions based on their data.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.
• Guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems.
• Use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions.
• Provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience with Data analysis, such as recognizing and investigating data quality and various data types, including discerning structure and relationships within data
• 5+ years of experience with Data visualization, such as creating charts with basic design principles
• 5+ years of experience with Data pipeline engineering, such as executing data transformation stages
• 4+ years of experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience working in Foundry, including building or maintaining data pipelines with Code Repository
• Knowledge of database-driven application development and design
• Ability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate data insights to business stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements, work closely with different business groups to comprehend and respond to their reporting and dashboard needs, be self-motivated, and pay strict attention to detail
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, or Computer Engineering
Preferred:
• Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including AI/ML
• Experience with DoD clients
• Experience with Army data systems
• Knowledge of front-end design and data visualization techniques and best practices
• Knowledge of Military terms
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and communicate with multiple functional groups
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Master’s degree in CS, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
