As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Providing evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the needs of assigned clients.
• Conducting thorough assessments and counseling sessions for families and children, ensuring compliance with medical necessity and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
• Developing and facilitating psycho-educational groups and classes, such as parenting workshops, to equip clients with essential skills for managing their mental health.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation through required case materials, client charts, reports, and statistical data to track client progress and program effectiveness.
• Meeting contractual obligations to manage a predetermined number of billable therapy hours, ensuring that clients receive the necessary support while adhering to organizational standards.

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your expertise will provide essential support to families and children navigating mental health issues, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being.

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A completed Master’s degree in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC).
• Current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California.
• Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Self-driven professionalism with a proactive approach to billing hours and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of direct clinical experience providing therapy in a mental health setting. Experience working with a telehealth model is a plus, and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, will be beneficial in adapting treatment plans to meet the individual needs of clients.
