Job description

Research Data Coordinator - Lymphoma Myeloma The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. The Research Data Coordinator supports the collection, maintenance, tracking, and reporting of clinical research data while helping ensure protocol compliance, data integrity, and operational efficiency across research studies. The Research Data Coordinator works closely with research nurses, physician investigators, sponsors, auditors, and monitors to support clinical trial activities and research operations.

UT MD Anderson is committed to advancing cancer research through innovative clinical trials and high-quality research programs. The Research Data Coordinator plays an essential role in maintaining accurate study documentation, supporting protocol execution, coordinating research data and sample activities, and facilitating communication among multiple stakeholders involved in clinical research. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and data management skills with the ability to support clinical research activities, coordinate across departments, manage study documentation, and maintain compliance with research protocols.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while interacting professionally with investigators, sponsors, auditors, monitors, and research staff. Minimum $21.15/hour - Midpoint $26.44/hour - Maximum $31.73/hour Work Location: Remote (Houston, Texas) The typical work schedule is days Why Us. The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with research professionals, investigators, and sponsors while building expertise in clinical trials, data management, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and research operations in a remote work environment that supports professional growth and work-life balance. Responsibilities Monitor toxicity and response to study agents and report findings to the appropriate source, including research nurses, physician investigators, and sponsors as requested.

Review research records and communicate findings to the appropriate source, including research nurses, physician investigators, and sponsors as requested. Develop and maintain tracking systems to control protocol activities, patient visits, research samples, and study documents. Enter required protocol data into designated data control systems in accordance with research requirements.

Assist with preparation and maintenance of protocol data reports. Support Physician Investigators with clinical trial presentations, publications, and assigned research projects. Assist in the management of research samples and research data as needed.

Collaborate with multiple departments to collect research data and research samples required for protocol completion. Communicate effectively with internal departments to prevent protocol deviations and protocol violations. Participate in departmental Quality Assurance rotation activities and assigned quality assurance responsibilities.

Manage the flow of auditors and monitors for assigned clinical trials. Oversee monitor visits and ensure completion of all required auditor and monitor checklists. Coordinate appointments and logistics for auditors and monitors as needed.

Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and organizational skills while supporting auditor and monitor activities. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Bachelor's Degree WORK EXPERIENCE Required: Two years related experience or no experience required with preferred degree.
