Pay: $24-$26/hr

Location Note: This position is fully remote. Candidates located within a reasonable distance of Greenville, SC or Schenectady, NY are preferred for occasional onsite meetings or conferences, but proximity is not required.

Position Overview

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Data Analyst – Logistics/Sourcing to provide high-level analytical support to the Wind Outbound team. This role will use logistics, sourcing, and financial data to identify trends, control transportation costs, improve operational performance, and support strategic supply chain decisions.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and experience turning complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market & Pricing Analysis: Monitor logistics market trends and transportation pricing. Develop forecasts, evaluate market competitiveness, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Create and maintain dashboards that track transportation costs, service performance, utilization, and savings. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.

  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Develop financial models and perform cost-benefit analyses to support transportation strategies and supply chain optimization initiatives.

  • Data Auditing & Accuracy: Review logistics data for accuracy, identify anomalies or discrepancies, and partner with internal teams to resolve issues.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to summarize project spend, evaluate logistics strategies, and communicate data-driven recommendations.

  • Budget & Strategic Planning: Provide analytical support for budgeting and assess the financial impact of operational and transportation changes.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, supply chain reporting, financial analysis, or logistics analytics.

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, project management, or a related analytical field.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization.

  • Experience with data management and reporting tools; Access, SQL, and/or BI tools are preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings to multiple levels of stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage large datasets while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
