Job description

Keynotes: 100% Remote Role. US-Based candidates only.
Salary Level: $55,000 - $70,000/year (depends on experience)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-provided visa sponsorship.
At Volume Nine, we help companies create a predictable, steady stream of customers using smart, modern digital marketing. The industry changes fast (you've probably noticed ), so our mission is simple: stay aligned with our clients, give them great expertise, and drive measurable results.
We're hiring an experienced Digital Marketing Strategist (not entry-level) to own strategy and performance for a set of managed clients. You'll be the person who connects the dots between business goals, channel strategy, great execution, and real outcomes, all while building strong, long-term client relationships.
Why A-Players Like Working Here:
  • You'll have real ownership. You're not just "making suggestions" - you're shaping the plan and driving results.
  • Small team, swift like ninjas. We move quickly, communicate clearly, and do great work.
  • Strategy + execution leadership. You'll guide direction across channels and help teams deliver work you're proud of.
  • Curious people welcome. We like testing new ideas, learning fast, and staying ahead of trends.

Be Obi-Wan for your clients
  • Translate business goals into channel plans, priorities, KPIs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead client meetings (weekly/biweekly/monthly)
  • Consult across channels like SEO, content marketing, paid search (PPC), paid social, social media, etc.
  • Respond quickly and thoughtfully to client communication.
  • Build long-term relationships through strong strategy, clear expectations, and great follow-through.
  • Analyze performance in Google Analytics (GA4) and other reporting sources to identify what's working, what's not, and what we should do next.
  • Coordinate with internal teams + project management resources to ship high-quality deliverables.
  • Complete more strategic / high-level deliverables and analysis for your clients.

You'll be a strong fit if you have:
  • 3-6+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience (this is not entry-level).
  • Strong knowledge of Paid Media and SEO.
  • Client-facing experience (account management, strategy, consulting, or similar).
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and performance measurement.
  • The ability to interpret data and turn it into clear recommendations + action plans.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (content, SEO, paid media, design, dev, contractors).
  • Great communication skills (clear writing, confident presenting, proactive updates).
  • Comfort in a flexible, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.
  • Experience with industry tools like Google Ads, SEMRush, Sitebulb, AHrefs, Sprout Social, Google Looker Studio, etc.

Diversity Is a Priority
Volume Nine is committed to recruiting and supporting a diverse team, as well as promoting diversity and inclusion in our marketing campaigns. Our goal is to promote a culture of inclusiveness, respect, and understanding. We highly encourage applications from ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and underrepresented ages in our industry. We celebrate the uniqueness of each individual who is part of our team; we never take dimensions like race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, religious beliefs, or ideology into account when hiring or working with team members.
We Don't Score or Rank Individuals
We don't use AI to judge or eliminate specific candidates, such as applicant scoring that decides eligibility, applicant qualification, or approval flags.
Tips for Applying (Help us Help You!)
A few things that make your application stand out:
  1. List the tools you've used in your resume (GA4, SEMrush, Google Ads, Meta Ads, HubSpot, Looker Studio, etc.).
  2. Highlight client-facing work: strategy, reporting, stakeholder management, and account ownership.
  3. If you have agency experience, please make it obvious (name the agencies and your responsibilities).
  4. Please avoid the lure of letting AI do the work for you when applying; we want to meet and get to know you - not ChatGPT

We're looking for serious applicants who are genuinely excited about this role and the opportunity to grow with Volume Nine. Our application includes a few thoughtful questions that take a bit of time, but we want you to know we read every response carefully and take the process seriously. If this position feels like a great fit for you, we encourage you to bring your A-game, be specific, and help us understand what makes you stand out. We're excited to meet the right person.
If you are ready to work with a group of passionate digital marketers, let's talk!
