Job description

You will be the principal SEO liaison between the client and internal teams, and the subject-matter expert clients rely on as search fragments surface across Google, AI Overviews, and LLM answer engines. You will set the strategy, drive implementation with the broader team, communicate with the client, measure success, and then iterate. The ability to work independently to find the best solution for each client is critical.

Fruition builds its own AI tools and runs clients through a structured assessment framework that scores everything from technical SEO to AI visibility. You will not just use the playbook; you will help write it.

Job Description

  • General responsibilities of the SEO Strategist include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and lead comprehensive SEO and answer engine optimization strategies for multiple clients, covering onsite, offsite, and AI visibility efforts
  • Run clients through Fruition’s SEO and content assessment framework and turn scores into roadmaps
  • Translate AI search developments (AI Overviews, LLM citation behavior, zero-click trends) into client strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Social, Email, Content, Development) to manage full digital campaigns
  • Compile and present monthly reporting and quarterly business reviews
  • Act as subject matter expert in client meetings and on calls
  • Execute tests, analyze data, and identify trends and insights to maximize organic ROI
  • Identify poor-performing initiatives, diagnose causes, and course-correct 
  • Set up Google Tag Manager containers and required tags
  • Implement and audit structured data to support search and AI visibility
  • Mentor junior team members on SEO best practices and adapting to changes in the search landscape
  • Assist with new business development proposals and strategic planning for prospective clients
  • Assist the Development team with new website launches for successful SEO deployment

Required Skills and Education

  • 3-6 years of SEO strategy and implementation experience
  • Thorough knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog (Google Ads a plus)
  • Daily use of AI tools in your workflow, and a working understanding of how AI systems retrieve, rank, and cite content
  • Experience in presenting strategy and results directly to clients
  • Experience managing marketing programs held to specific KPIs
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter approach with an eagerness to exceed objectives and take on additional responsibility
  • HTML/CSS and website administration knowledge
  • BS in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience

Location

  • Denver area preferred, but open to remote US-based candidates who fit the role
  • Must be able to attend meetings in the Denver office on occasion
