We are currently seeking a SAP eWM Functional Lead to join our team in Portland, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US).

                        

                                                                                                                     

Job Description - SAP EWM _Onsite

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) 

1. Analyze customer reported issues and project requirements

2. Provide estimates, impact analyses, feasibility assessments for SAP based solutions for customer requirements

3.Create functional specifications for support tickets, enhancements and projects

4.Perform solution configurations in SD module

5.Create specifications for ABAP developments

6.Perform unit testing, integration testing and coordinate UAT

7.Perform root cause and impact analysis; documentation and training as required

8.Provide SAP thought leadership and recommend improvements and consulting services

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

  • 12+ years of overall SAP experience, including extensive implementation and support expertise in SAP EWM (Embedded/Decentralized).
  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM-ERP integration, with strong understanding of Core Interface (CIF), master data replication, and transactional data flows.
  • Proven expertise in configuring key EWM functionalities:
    • Packaging specifications and Handling Unit Management
    • Quality Inspection (EWM-QM integration)
    • Physical Inventory processes
    • Slotting, rearrangement, and Post Processing Framework (PPF)
    • Warehouse structure setup (storage types, sections, bins, activity areas, docks/doors)
    • Output and master data configuration
  • Strong experience in inbound and outbound warehouse processes, including:
    • Direct goods receipt and deconsolidation
    • Putaway strategies and warehouse task processing
    • Picking strategies and outbound execution
    • Goods issue processing (including Stock Transport Orders - STO)
    • Kitting and Value-Added Services (VAS)
  • Solid understanding of cross-functional integration with SAP modules:
    • MM (procurement & inventory)
    • PP / PP-PI (production integration)
    • QM (quality management)
    • WM (legacy comparison/migration scenarios)
      Including strong knowledge of master data and transactional dependencies (e.g., deliveries, material documents, production orders)
  • Strong hands-on experience with RF (Radio Frequency) framework / Mobile Data Entry, including configuration and process optimization.
  • Good exposure to Handling Unit (HU) and Batch Management processes, including tracking, serialization, and warehouse execution.
  • Experience working with EDI/interface-based integrations and warehouse automation (if applicable) is an added advantage.

Nice to Have; (But not a must)

  • Project lead experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and issue resolution.
  • Good consulting skills to gather information requirements and participate in analysis and user interface design discussions.
