Reporting to the Director of Sales Functional Ingredients, NOAM, you will manage your accounts through top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities.

We need someone from the ingredients business B2B with already a track record in Beverage Wellness to manage large commercial projects while ensuring visibility and exposure for us at customers.

This is a remote role preferably on the West Coast.

  • THE ROLE and INFLUENCE You are an experience ingredient sales manager who knows how to scout, hunt, prospect, negotiate, and close deals. Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning us as a preferred supplier and ensure we participate in RFPs, briefs, and are on core supplier lists. Focus on delivering a positive customer experience through innovation, collaboration, and service.
  • THE INDUSTRY and MARKET Understand the beverage market inside out to know what trendy is, what claims are possible (or not), how to use botanicals to deliver functionality and help our clients navigate between supplements and beverages. You need to have track record and a network, contacts with actual and potential beverages customers, now. Lead and influence strategic account planning. Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning strength and weaknesses, and competitive data. Manage brief pipeline to achieve growth plans.
  • THE PRODUCT and KNOW HOW Master our ingredients, including their technicalities, origin, and strengths. Understand our competitors. Work with our flavor colleagues, we learn how to more effectively and jointly get in front of clients. Furthermore, we can use flavors as a Trojan horse for our ingredients without losing effectiveness on the ingredients expertise.

You?

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science.
  • 10+ years experience in sales, or customer relationship experience in Beverage/Wellness industry.
  • Experience incorporating comprehensive knowledge and analysis in presentations.
  • Understanding of the ingredient industry, including consumer and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of customer strategies, programs, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity.

Benefits include bonus target as a percentage of base salary, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, family leave, and a high matching 401K plan.

Education and experience partly determine Job Title and Base Salary, and our compensation program guidelines do so. $140k-$190k per year.
