Role Summary

Retina Labs USA is a leading provider of teleretinal screening solutions for early detection of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy. The Company provides clinic-based and in-home/mobile retinal eye exams and other preventive health screening services for people living with diabetes and for other chronic disease populations.

Under the direction of the Director of Operations or other designated Member of Management, the Patient Outreach & Scheduling Specialist is a member of the Customer Service Specialist (CSS) team and works as an extension of the outreach team. Once Retina Labs has acquired a new patient implementation, the CSS team reaches out to patients telephonically to educate and schedule them for the Medicare-sponsored diabetic management program designed to help the patient better manage their diabetes.

As a Patient Outreach & Scheduling Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting a list of assigned patients, educating them on the diabetic in home services, and scheduling them for an in-home diabetic retinopathy exam.

This is atelephonicpatient scheduling position with no face-to-face patient contact.

Position Requirements

  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to explain the program offered in an informational, influential, concise, and personable manner
  • Proven ability be able to work within a team dynamic and be a leader
  • Articulate, a warm and professional etiquette when speaking on the phone to patients
  • Possess a high-quality of data entry skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Natural ability to express empathy with a patient-focused mindset and engagement
  • Ability to be creative in delivering education to patients, while tailoring the showcase the benefits of the program
  • Proven adaptability in a high-volume sales space, ability to meet deadlines, and metrics
  • Comfortable with working within different software platforms (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Will be able to consistently deliver high call volume, spending in excess of 80% of your time on the phone.
  • Sales acumen is preferred, but not required
  • Strong and effective fluency in English (oral & written); Spanish an asset
