Core Responsibilities

  • Provide Strategic Technical Leadership:Champion modern data engineering principles and a systems-thinking approach across multiple teams, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment withCocaCola'sData Integration strategy.

  • Develop and Inspire High-Performing Teams:Lead and mentor a diverse team of data integration professionals,buildingcapabilities in advancedarchitectures, fostering a culture of learning, and supporting career progression.

  • Drive Engineering Excellence:Promote engineering practices-advancing modular design, functional programming standards, and continuous testing across all integration solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience(10+ years)directly managing, mentoring, and developing software or data engineering teams.

  • Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills, partnering effectively across business, technology, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions aligned to enterpriseobjectives.

  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and scaling software or data engineering teams, with a strongtrack recordof leading complex projects and developing senior engineering staff.

  • Software Engineering (8+ years): Extensive polyglot development experience on the JVM, with a strict requirement for deepproficiencyin Scala. Mustdemonstratea strong grasp of functional programming, concurrency models, and modularization.

  • Spark Expertise (6+ years): Deep, hands-on experience building,debuggingandoptimizingdistributed computing applications using Apache Spark.

  • DevOps & CI/CD: Proven ability to build automated release cycles. Hands-onexpertisewith Git, GitHub Actions, and build tools (Maven/SBT, UV arerequired).

  • Delivery: Experience in Agile development (Scrum, lean techniques) and collaborating with global engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in cloud platforms or data engineering (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Databricks Certified Professional).

  • Background in platform cost governance and workload performance modeling at enterprise scale.
