Baer is looking for SAP S/4HANA H2R Data Conversion SME for a 6+ month Federal remote project.
Title: SAP S/4HANA H2R Data Conversion SME
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Overview
Join a multi-year DoD SAP S/4HANA modernization program supporting the enterprise transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. We are seeking experienced SAP functional consultants with Active Secret Clearance to help drive data conversion governance, cross-functional business process integration, Federal audit and compliance requirements, and cutover readiness. Ideal candidates have hands-on SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA experience, a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, and experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations in Federal or DoD environments.
Description:
  • Lead the SAP S/4HANA H2R data conversion workstream from planning through deployment.
  • Define data mapping, transformation rules, validation, and reconciliation for H2R data.
  • Manage employee master data, organizational units, positions, jobs, time, benefits, payroll-related reference data, and workforce reporting data.
  • Develop and review functional specifications, business rules, and source-to-target mappings.
  • Ensure data quality through cleansing, validation, issue resolution, and business signoff.
  • Support mock conversions, testing, cutover planning, and deployment readiness.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, security, functional teams, technical developers, and project stakeholders.
  • Track risks, issues, deliverables, and provide regular project status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal documentation, privacy, audit, and governance requirements.

Requirement:
  • 8+ years of SAP HR/HCM functional experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience leading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA H2R data conversion projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Hire-to-Retire (H2R), HR/HCM, organizational management, and employee master data.
  • Experience creating functional specifications, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA HR data structures and payroll integration.
  • Experience supporting testing, defect management, cutover, and deployment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments is preferred.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
