Chevron is accepting online applications for the position SAP MDG Senior Architectthrough 07/24/2026 at 11:59 p.m. (CST).

The SAP MDG Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering enterprise master data solutions using SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
This role defines the end-to-end data architecture, governance framework, and integration strategy to ensure consistent, high-quality master data across SAP S/4HANA and connected systems.
The architect partners with business, functional, and technical teams to establish a single source of truth (gold standard" data) and enable scalable digital core data standards across enterprise segments.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

MDG Architecture & Strategy

  • Define enterprise MDG architecture across SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems

  • Design master data governance frameworks (standards, policies, workflows)

  • Establish data domains (Business Partner, Material, Finance, EAM, etc.)

  • Define multi-instance and cross-system MDG strategy

  • Architect data replication and synchronization strategies

Solution Design & Governance

  • Lead design of MDG data models, extensions, Data quality Validation rules and governance controls

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise data governance operating model

  • Define approval workflows and data stewardship processes

  • Establish master data standards and templates across domains

  • Define integration patterns

  • Ensure data consistency and system-of-record alignment

  • Define MDG playbooks, design standards, and best practices

Program Delivery & stakeholder relationship

  • Guide SAP S/4HANA transformation programs via Data migration, conversion, and cutover activities

  • Act as primary MDG architecture authority across Business stakeholders, Data stewards / owners and Functional data leads and architects

  • Collaborate with Integration teams, Data platforms (Data Lake, Analytics) and Security & Basis teams.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Core Technical Skills

  • Deepexpertisein SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)product

  • Strong knowledge of MDG data models,WorkflowandData replication (DRF)

  • Experience supporting data conversion or migration initiatives

  • Familiarity with SAP Data Services (BODS) or similar ETL tools is a strong plus

  • Understanding of key mapping, staging tables, and reconciliation concepts

  • Experiencesetting up customizing synchronization between MDGHubandTransactionalS/4HANA.

Functional & Process Knowledge

  • Good understanding of endtoend business processesimpactedby master data

  • Ability to translate business requirements into MDG technical solutions

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA master data objects (BP, Material, Finance, EAM)

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management andclearcommunication

  • Strategic thinking + hands-on solution design

  • Ability tooperatein cross-functional, global programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multiinstance S/4HANA landscapes

  • Exposure to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) MDG extensions
