We are currently seeking a Data Conversion Analyst to join our team in Chicago, Illinois (US-IL), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking a Data Conversion Analyst to join the Project Management Office (PMO) team for the State of Illinois strategic planning and modernization of the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES). The Data Conversion Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful migration of data from legacy systems to the new MES and facilitating accurate and efficient data transformation processes. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including project teams and subject matter experts, to ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance throughout the conversion process.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of legacy data structures to identify data elements for migration.
  • Develop and document data mapping specifications to ensure accurate data transformation.
  • Implement data cleansing processes to prepare data for migration, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Execute data migration processes, monitoring for errors or discrepancies and addressing issues as needed.
  • Perform validation checks on migrated data to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate data migration progress.
  • Prepare reports summarizing data conversion outcomes, including any challenges encountered and resolutions implemented.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance data conversion processes.
  • Effectively communicate with the client and other project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business and technical requirements gathering and support functional workflow, business process, and information flow discussions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in data analysis, data management, or data conversion, preferably within a healthcare or public sector environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience and proficiency in data mapping, data cleansing, and data transformation techniques.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data quality and identify discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with data migration tools and software, along with experience in utilizing databases and data management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) and understanding of Medicaid policies and regulations.
  • Certification in data management, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
  • Must be a team player and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and change

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $111,540 - $185,900. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. 
This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
