Title: Sr. EHR Systems Analyst (EPIC Cadence & Referrals)

Location: Remote

Duration: 5 Months Contract (but could be extended, not a guarantee)

Job Description:

This contract is in support of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a comprehensive cancer center and autonomous university of the University of Texas System in Houston, Texas. It is the largest cancer center in the world and one of the original three NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country.

Cadence certification is required.

Work Location: Fully remote role (Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm Central). Client is in Houston, TX.

Interview mode: Virtual Interview

Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card or EAD only.

Submissions: Copies of EPIC Certification(s) required to submit; must agree and authorize that the University of Texas perform a background check at the time of submission (no cost).

Client is seeking a Senior EHR Systems Analyst with EPIC Cadence and Referrals experience. This role impacts the proper utilization of EHR system throughout the institution. The EPIC analyst provides advanced technical support for the implementation and maintenance of the electronic health record (EHR) system. This role will support an enterprise-wide expansion of Appointment Request Decision Trees, following a successful pilot in one center.

Serves as expert resource and provides oversight in the coordination of assigned application(s).

Reviews software, analyzes business operations, and collaborates with subject matter experts to tailor the EHR system to fit institutional needs.

Performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical components associated with EHR software use.

Ensures implementation of key decisions across application(s).

Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Facilitates resolution of complex issues.

Dedicated to building and implementing Cadence Appointment Request/Decision Trees across the enterprise.

Supports Referrals functionality, and Referrals certification is highly preferred (experience in lieu of certification will be accepted).

Minimum experience required - must meet ALL:

Five (5) years of Epic software/domain/workflow analysis, design, programming, project management, or EHR application-related experience.

A bachelor's Degree is required.

May substitute required education with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis, or completed years of college on a one-to-one basis.

Strong experience with Epic Cadence and Referrals modules, including building and maintaining Appointment Request/Decision Trees, is essential.

Cadence certification is required.
