Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Maintaining Positive Relationships: Acting as the main point of contact to ensure strategic accounts are satisfied and their business needs are met.
  • Developing Business Strategies:Creating strategies that benefit the company and its strategic accounts.
  • Targeting New Accounts:Setting strategies for targeting and penetrating new accounts.
  • Handling Large Accounts:Leading all aspects of and growing large, sophisticated accounts.
  • Collaborating Across Functions:Working with cross-functional data solutions partners to drive growth.
  • Achieving Sales Quotas:Being responsible for meeting sales quotas with strategic accounts.
  • Negotiating Contracts:Developing and growing sales, negotiating contracts, and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Understanding Customer Needs:Maintaining relationships to understand customer requirements and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Providing Forecasts:Offering frequent updates to support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Identifying New Opportunities:Work with sales and marketing teams to identify new product categories or markets and drive new business opportunities.
  • Recommending Product Mix:Partnering with product management and marketing to recommend the appropriate product mix and sourcing strategies.
  • Generating Growth:Selling data solutions with a targeted focus on integrator accounts.
  • Supporting Growth Accounts:Supporting the business through the generation of new growth accounts while maintaining and developing existing ones.
  • Although we have this role posted in multiple locations, we are only making 1 hire***
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent data center sales/account management experience.
  • Ideally, 5+ years in account management or outside sales experience in data center sales; experience should include 2+ years leading strategic accounts.
  • Ability to sell power distribution, data center Infrastructure products, data center cooling (HDLC), and other electrical products into the data center space.
  • Knowledge of how a direct-to-customer sales environment operates.
  • Knowledge in program/project management preferred.
  • Skills in handling multiple tasks/projects, along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
  • Skills to effectively resolve quality and delivery concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM.
  • Ability to work 100% remotely from a home office anywhere in the US and travel 20-30% of the time on average. A valid driver's license is required.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee's work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee's base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.

Total Target Cash Range:

Geographic Region A: $114,500.00 - $212,600.00 +Geographic Region B: $119,200.00 - $221,400.00 +Geographic Region C: $130,100.00 - $241,500.00 +

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
