POSITION OVERVIEW
The Data Analyst will support data analysis, reporting, and analytics solution delivery in a federal healthcare environment. This role will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify analytical requirements, collect and interpret data from multiple sources, develop ad hoc reports and analysis outputs, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify analytical requirements, clarify business questions, and translate needs into data analysis, reporting, and decision-support outputs.
  • Collect, validate, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources, including client databases, web-based sources, reporting platforms, and other program resources.
  • Use analytical tools, SQL, Python, Excel, BI/reporting platforms, and other approved technologies to support the development of analytical products, reports, and applications.
  • Interpret business data and develop clear findings, recommendations, reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis products to support operational and program decision-making.
  • Research best practices and support the development of solutions, recommendations, methodologies, and process improvements for current business operations.
  • Participate in working sessions, requirements discussions, training sessions, and knowledge-transfer activities with stakeholders and team members.
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to document requirements, track analysis tasks, communicate risks or blockers, and iterate on analytics products based on stakeholder feedback.

  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience required; in lieu of a degree, four (4) years of specialized experience may be substituted, and relevant advanced certifications may be considered in place of a portion of the required experience.
  • Experience performing data collection, data analysis, business analysis, reporting, and interpretation of data from multiple sources.
  • Experience supporting analytical requirements gathering, stakeholder discussions, and translation of business needs into data analysis or reporting outputs. Experience developing ad hoc reports, dashboards, data summaries, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
  • Experience using SQL, Excel, Python, BI/reporting tools, or similar analytical tools to manipulate, analyze, and present data.
  • Experience with code repository tools like GitHub is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with analytics, application, and platform teams in an Agile environment
  • Prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other government agencies is a plus.
