Posting Title: Preconstruction Project Manager - Modular - Data Center                            
Reports To: Director, Project Management
Location: Salt Lake City, UT | Edgerton, WI | Houston, TX | Greater San Francisco Bay Area | Remote |
Salary Range: $87,000 to $163,000

*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.

THE MODULAR TEAM

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Preconstruction Manager (PCM) will be the lead project manager during the preconstruction phase of projects. Responsibilities include: manage RFP’s, Estimates, procurement, deliverables, and client relations along with the project management team.

Project Budgeting

  • Providing conceptual budgeting and tools to facilitate accurate and efficient qualifying of projects.
  • Coordinating the Estimating effort on bids including front end document review.
  • Organizing and lead bid reviews.
  • Perform Estimating as needed to meet deadlines
    • Including management of estimators
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management
  • Reviewing and implementing the technical strategy for proposals with PM and Production teams.
  • Coordinate with Product Development on any proposal documents.
  • Client correspondence
  • Project interviews to represent budget approach and Precon management

Team Management

  • Delegate tasks to supporting team members
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Review deliverables for accuracy
  • Lead estimate reviews
  • Facilitate the turnover of project and all project documents to the Project Management team.

Management Tasks

  • Create and maintain estimating analytics.
  • Work closely with CEI division directors to implement and improve all workflow processes.
  • Map out all processes and maintain up-to-date process workflow diagrams.
  • Drive results to meet annual strategic goals set together with division directors.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed to support the projects or objectives of the department

ABOUT YOU

  • Proficiency in estimating and understanding of project budgeting
  • Proficiency in accubid, plangrid, excel, and bluebeam
  • Experience in management of design-build projects
  • Verifiable experience of safe, reliable, and integrity-driven work habits, including working in an unsupervised field setting when appropriate  
  • A balance of technical knowledge and communications skills
  • Ability to manage and train others
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and communicate confidently in project interviews

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred. 

Licensure/Certifications: None required. 

Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience as a project manager for an electrical contractor.
