We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to design and develop dynamic, actionable dashboards by integrating data from diverse ERP systems. The role involves extracting, transforming, and consolidating data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting. The ideal candidate will excel in creating insightful visualizations that drive business decisions while maintaining a strong focus on data integrity and performance optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into impactful dashboards is essential.
The Data Analyst will work to support our St. Louis region.
As a Data Analyst, you will:
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple SQL tables into Power BI.
  • Design and build interactive dashboards and reports tailored to financial performance metrics and trends.
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance in Power BI data models.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency during integration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements including, but not limited to dynamic KPI dashboards and variance analysis reports.
  • Connect Power BI to Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for seamless data extraction and visualization.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure proper data flows between systems and Power BI.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize ERP data connections for efficiency and reliability.
  • Build robust data models in Power BI to analyze financial datasets, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Use advanced DAX formulas and Power Query to derive insights from complex ERP datasets.
  • Ensure data integrity by reconciling Power BI outputs with Epicor and Microsoft Dynamics 365 records.
  • Partner with finance teams to understand business requirements and deliver custom reporting solutions.
  • Work with ERP administrators to enhance the usability and functionality of Epicor and Dynamics 365 data for reporting purposes.
  • Automate routine financial reporting by leveraging Power BI and ERP integration capabilities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and reporting cycles.
  • Train finance and operational teams on utilizing Power BI dashboards and ERP-integrated reports.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Power BI and ERP reporting capabilities within the organization.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or business intelligence.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, SQL skills (query optimization, joins, stored procedures) and data modeling.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable dashboards.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with financial processes, including P&L analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of Python/R for data manipulation (optional but beneficial).
  • Experience with Power Query or other ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure or cloud-based data services (if applicable).
