Job Description Summary:

The Category Development Analyst will support the National Accounts team by providing analytical support, generating sales insights, and solutions for BBG's key retailers. This position will lead the effort to review and translate shopper and retail data (internal, customer POS, consumer panel, & syndicated) into actionable strategy and tactics. This position will also leverage insights to focus on improving product assortment, placement, and promotions, as well as assist in the planning and forecasting process for key suppliers with core customers.

Job Description:

Analytics and Insights:

  • Works with Business Intelligence team to leverage syndicated & shopper data resulting in a "best in class" customer analytics platform.
  • Performs analysis against the strategic priorities and goals for the National Accounts Team.
  • Collaborate with BBG's National Accounts Team and market-level leaders to align analysis efforts against National Accounts priorities and initiatives.
  • Conducts descriptive and predictive analysis on velocity, price levels, promotional activities, distribution, and consumer trending for assigned accounts; and persuasively communicates business insights to key stakeholders along the National Accounts Value chain.

Report Development and Customer Communication:

  • Leads the effort to report BBG's business results in assigned retail accounts.
  • Analyst will have ownership of reporting dashboards, scorecards, and other structured communications of business results to stakeholders.

Analytical Presentations:

  • Utilize foundational analytical techniques to build a sales story and create high impact presentations.
  • Will be expected to build supporting analytic visuals and engaging presentation flow.

Data Management:

  • Maintain internal account and product alignment, segmentation, and data accuracy for assigned customers.

Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data analysis, data science, business administration, economics, statistics, computer science, or related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum 2 years in an analytical role where report creation and problem solving are required
  • Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Experience with syndicated and Retail POS, (i.e. Nielsen/CGA, IRI, Datassential, Technomic, Target Partners Online, IRI/Kroger Retail Execution, Walmart Retail Link, etc.), Syndicated Shopper Panel, and Depletion data preferred
  • Customer first philosophy
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
  • Experience converting raw data into meaningful/actionable information

Salary and Benefit Statement:

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience.

  • Annual Salary Range: $60,000-75,000

  • This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.

  • This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company's 401(k) plan
