Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Informatics Analyst/Program Performance Management Analyst to support our rapidly growing organization.

This position is eligible for full-time remote work.

This role combines program performance management and data analytics. The ideal candidate will bring strong MS Project and Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise, with a proven ability to administer associated tools and support program execution through stakeholder collaboration.

The role also focuses on improving business processes through data systems, automation, and integrated program management tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Tools, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Administer enterprise program management tools (e.g., Cobra, ProPricer, MOPS, and related systems), including user access, data management, baselines, and compliance controls.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain custom tools and automation solutions supporting program controls and business operations.

  • Lead testing, implementation, and improvement of EVMS and scheduling tools and processes.

  • Provide technical support and training for program management and EVMS tools, including troubleshooting and user support.

Program Planning & Performance Analysis

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) guidance in the development of program cost and schedule baselines, including IMP/IMS, WBS, proposal schedules, and integrated program control artifacts.

  • Provide SME guidance in the analysis of program performance (historical and predictive), including EAC, variances, Management Reserve, and overall program health.

  • Provide SME guidance in the application of advanced scheduling techniques including critical path analysis, schedule health assessments, resource loading, and schedule risk analysis.

  • Provide surge/backfill support as needed in a fast-paced environment.

SME Leadership & Program Support

  • Serve as an Earned Value Management (EVM) SME providing guidance and mentoring to program teams and analysts.

  • Train and mentor staff in EVMS, scheduling best practices, and program control tools.

  • Define requirements and develop solutions for complex program management challenges.

  • Act as a senior resource across multiple programs and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Lead process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives across program performance management functions.

Compensation:

  • $115,700 - $150,500

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Experience & Education

  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in program controls, program performance management, data analytics, or U.S. Government/defense contracting.

  • Experience supporting DoD programs with Earned Value Management (EVMS) requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong EVMS knowledge including variance analysis, performance analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Experience developing and maintaining IMS and IMP.

  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office (advanced Excel), and Deltek Cobra.

  • Experience integrating cost, schedule, and resource/manpower data.

  • Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule health assessment, and slack analysis.

  • Experience supporting proposal development (schedules, BOEs, cost/scope integration).

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills across multiple programs.

Technical / Data Skills

  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts.

  • Experience with Excel automation (VBA) and data analysis/reporting.

  • Familiarity with Power BI (reports and semantic models).

  • Experience supporting program management systems, tools, and process improvements.

  • Strong documentation and process improvement skills.

Desired Skills

  • Schedule Risk Analysis and Risk & Opportunity Management.

  • Experience with Open Plan or similar scheduling tools.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and manufacturing/program environments.

  • Experience with scripting (C# or PowerShell).

  • Experience with automation, dashboards, or enterprise reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with EVMS compliance frameworks (e.g., ANSI/EIA-748).
