Job description

The Data Analyst II is a practitioner-level role designed for an analytics professional eager to master the intersection of marketing technology and healthcare business outcomes. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering product and data analytics solutions for leading healthcare organizations, specializing in the healthcare digital experience.
You will work within a collaborative, cross-functional consulting team, using data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions, improve digital experiences, and drive measurable outcomes. This role requires hands-on experience in product and web analytics with proficiency in Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). The ideal candidate is a curious "builder" who is ready to move beyond the "how" to master the "why," bridging the gap between complex technical features and tangible business value for our clients
Here's a list of duties and responsibilities you'd take on as a Modea Data Analyst II:
  • Analytics Implementation and Tracking
  • Set up, configure, and maintain tracking on healthcare websites and mobile apps to capture critical data points across user journeys.
  • Serve as a contributor on Adobe CJA implementations and ongoing support engagements-configuring data views, building workspace projects, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Work with engineering teams to implement and test tags and scripts using tools like Freshpaint or Tealium, ensuring accurate and HIPAA-compliant data collection.
  • Design and maintain tracking plans, including event naming conventions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Produce high-quality client deliverables, including initial performance reports and solution documentation.
  • Analyze web and product analytics data to identify user behavior patterns, conversion trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop insights, dashboards, and regular reports using platforms like GA4, Heap, and Adobe CJA, ensuring clarity and relevance for healthcare stakeholders.
  • Utilize SQL, Python, or R to query, clean, and transform large datasets, enabling detailed analyses that drive client decision-making.
  • Consulting and Client Communication
  • Own individual work streams within larger enterprise projects, hitting deadlines consistently while proactively communicating progress and potential blockers.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and conversationally during ad-hoc project milestone meetings, adapting to client needs and anticipating concerns.
  • Educate clients on best practices for analytics tracking, data interpretation, and the strategic use of analytics for business growth.
  • Analyze client requests to surface underlying business drivers and identify when to escalate risks or flag expansion opportunities.
  • General Expectations
  • Operate with a "builder" mindset, staying updated on industry trends in healthcare analytics, compliance, and data privacy.
  • Travel Expectations: Occasional travel to client sites (approx. 5-10%) and attendance at the annual company meeting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that are reasonably within the scope of this position.

Some critical competencies we'd like you to have are:
  • Curiosity: Demonstrates a self-directed interest in generating original queries and digging into complex client questions for ad-hoc reporting and superior service.
  • Adaptability: Ability to remain flexible as toolkits and client needs change, maintaining proficiency across a wide range of tools, concepts, and datasets.
  • Communication Skills: Must be a polished oral and written communicator, capable of presenting findings to diverse audiences and translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Reliability: Proven ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel with a high degree of organization and a "self-starter" mindset.

Here's a list of minimum requirements that are necessary for the role:
  • 2+ years of experience with digital analytics, technical consulting, or related analytical fields.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) (implementation, workspace analysis, or configuration).
  • Proficient in data analysis, including data cleaning, transformation, and interpretation.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (CS, MIS, or Data Science preferred).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Candidates with the following will be considered preferred:
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in tag management platforms (Freshpaint, Tealium) and data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Advanced Skills: Strong SQL skills (complex queries, database optimization) and experience with R and/or Python.
  • Certifications: Adobe certifications (e.g., CJA Business Practitioner) are strongly encouraged.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in healthcare analytics, including familiarity with HIPAA compliance and unique healthcare data challenges.
