What is a remote data analyst evening?

Remote Data Analyst Evening jobs involve analyzing and interpreting data for organizations while working remotely, typically during evening hours. These professionals gather, clean, and interpret data to help businesses make informed decisions, with schedules tailored for those who prefer or require evening work. Tasks may include creating reports, generating insights, and using data visualization tools, all done from a remote location. This role is ideal for those seeking flexibility or who need to work outside of traditional office hours.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote data analyst evening?

To thrive as a Remote Data Analyst Evening, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of statistics, and a relevant degree in fields like mathematics, economics, or computer science. Familiarity with data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), proficiency in SQL, and experience with programming languages like Python or R are typically required. Self-motivation, effective written communication, and strong time management are crucial soft skills for excelling in a remote, evening-based role. These skills ensure accurate insights, efficient collaboration across time zones, and the ability to meet deadlines independently.

You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Leadership to define success metrics, measure impact, identify opportunities, and support experimentation.

Beyond analysis, you'll help improve the quality and accessibility of our data by working with engineering on event tracking, integrating data from multiple systems, and ensuring our analytics foundation supports better decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define success metrics and evaluate the impact of new features, experiments, and product initiatives.

  • Develop dashboards, recurring reports, and self-service analytics to enable data-informed decision making.

  • Collaborate with engineers to design, implement, validate, and maintain product event tracking within React-based interfaces.

  • Improve data reliability by identifying and troubleshooting tracking issues that impact data integrity.

  • Work with data from multiple sources (Amplitude, Google Ads, Meta Ads, payment systems, CRM, etc.) to create a unified view of the business.

  • Document key metrics, tracking plans, and data definitions to improve organizational understanding.

Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or above in a related field or equivalent experience required.

  • 3+ years of work experience in data science, data analytics or other quantitative roles, with a track record of successfully delivering data analytics projects.

  • Experience with product analytics, experimentation, funnel analysis, retention, and user behavior analysis.

  • Experience with event tracking instrumentation and collaborating with engineering teams to validate and maintain analytics implementations.

  • Experience with handling real-time and historical data from the ground up, including data cleaning, data processing, analyzing, modeling, insights delivery and execution strategy.

  • Experience in data queries and statistical programming tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.)

  • Experience with product and marketing analytics tools (Amplitude, Google Analytics, etc.)

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • You are a good communicator and can explain complex analyses using visualization and storytelling to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You are a self-starter who thrives in a start-up environment and has a strong follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with improving data pipelines, data storage and analytical frameworks.

  • Event tracking (eg. Javascript, Google tag manager)
