Job description


SAIC has an opportunity for a Junior FAA Aviation Data Analyst. This role is remote and requires 10% travel.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews aviation-related information to assist in decisions about flight routes, spending practices, employee efficiency, safety, aviation regulations (including national security) and other topics. Uses data to make predictions and give estimations related to all aspects of aviation.
  • Performs operational analysis and develop concept of operations. Analyzes Architecture/overall systems design, concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
  • Perform data driven assessments to include alternative courses of action when one or more interdependent project(s) experiences a delay, and opportunities for new technology insertions.
  • Provide technical assistance in strategic planning, research and development, operations research, systems engineering, and briefing development support.
  • Additionally, tasks will include the preparation and development of various documents and briefings.
  • Position may require firsthand support for Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) to:
    • Include development of As-Is Analysis, To-Be Analysis, and Alternatives Analysis, to make recommendations as to improving existing processes and procedures for organizations within and related to the BNATCS RSR Program.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors and 2-5 years of related experience; Masters and 1 year or more experience
  • Five years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree. Equivalent aviation data analyst experience in the U.S. Military or international control environment is acceptable.
  • Proficiency in aviation data analysis tools and software (such as Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms).
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, national security protocols, and industry best practices is highly preferred.
  • Experience in developing and presenting technical briefings to stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Ability to conduct Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documents and reports.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and operations research methodologies is a plus.

Required Clearance:
  • US Citizenship.
  • FAA Suitability: Ability to obtain and maintain FAA public trust and FAA resume approval.
