Financial Analyst II – IT / Cybersecurity Business OperationsLocation: Remote (Candidates from Alabama or Georgia Preferred). Client- Southern Company Services. Contract- 1 YearJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to support financial operations, budget tracking, procurement coordination, reporting, and administrative financial processes within a Cybersecurity Organization.This role will provide staff augmentation support to the lead financial analyst and assist with budget activities, spend tracking, purchase order workflows, vendor coordination, financial reporting, accruals, prepaid account monitoring, and day-to-day financial operations.The ideal candidate will have experience supporting budget management, financial planning and analysis, accounting, procurement, or reporting processes, preferably within a technology, cybersecurity, or similarly complex business environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport budget tracking, spend monitoring, forecasting, and budget worksheet updates.Assist with weekly and monthly budget reviews and follow up on outstanding financial requests.Gather, organize, and validate financial data tied to cybersecurity initiatives.Prepare financial summaries, supporting analysis, reports, and presentation materials.Support spend governance reviews, action item tracking, and budget documentation.Assist with accrual tracking, prepaid account monitoring, and month-end close documentation.Help organize accounting, compliance, and internal governance documentation.Track contractor resources, billing information, charges, and related records.Support purchase order tracking, submissions, and procurement follow-up.Coordinate with vendor management, supplier management, finance, and internal stakeholders.Assist with collecting vendor quotes and organizing cost information for purchases and renewals.Support special projects, ad hoc financial requests, research, and reporting needs.Build strong working relationships across finance, cybersecurity, technology, business partners, and vendors.Required QualificationsExperience supporting budget management, financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting, procurement, or related business processes.Ability to work with financial data, prepare basic analysis, and support reporting tied to budgets, business priorities, and operational needs.Strong Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar financial system experience preferred.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to communicate financial information clearly and prepare presentation materials.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently while also taking direction well in a team-oriented setting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Must pass NERC CIP and Insider Threat Protection background checks.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a technology, cybersecurity, utility, or complex enterprise business environment.Experience supporting financial operations, budget administration, procurement coordination, or vendor management.Experience with purchase orders, contractor billing, accruals, prepaid accounts, and month-end financial support.Experience supporting projects, coordinating tasks, and managing deadlines across multiple workstreams.Experience working with vendors, suppliers, finance teams, and cross-functional business partners.Key SkillsFinancial Analysis, Budget Management, FP&A Support, Cybersecurity Finance, Financial Reporting, Procurement Coordination, Purchase Orders, Vendor Coordination, Oracle, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Accrual Tracking, Prepaid Accounts, Spend Tracking, Contractor Billing, Forecasting, Compliance Documentation, Stakeholder Communication.
