Information Technology Division - Arlington, VA
The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist. You will be responsible for planning, directing, executing, and managing work and associated resources involved in the execution of major USMS programs and operations and maintenance of technologies, services and applications in support of the mission.

Help
As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist at the GS-2210-15 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Evaluating the program's projects/solutions to ensure they are operating securely and effectively.
  • Analyzing and monitoring performance of agency program, and recommending changes as appropriate.
  • Managing a full range of cybersecurity and IT-related services, operations and projects.
  • Establishing and maintaining liaison with officials of other Federal agencies and industry personnel.
  • Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management.
  • Identifying and evaluating new solutions that may be more efficient, more effective, and/or less expensive.
  • Working with cybersecurity/IT specialists and team members in a manner that enables sharing of skills and knowledge and encourages innovation to better meet USMS requirements.
  • Ensuring all IT projects and services are managed through the IT change control process, confirming the proper application of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cybersecurity, and information assurance policies.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-2210-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
Specialized Experience: Must have one year (52 weeks) of full-time specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal service performing the following duties:
1. Implementing IT enterprise architecture plans that address mission-critical program objectives;
2. Assisting with managing and directing IT projects consistent with industry standards;
3. Analyzing business requirements to develop IT solutions; AND
4. Providing technical advice and assistance on IT programs to users and management.

Basic Requirement: In addition to the Specialized Experience above, you must meet the basic requirements for the Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 as described below.
