Senior Software Developer (Fintech - fixed income securities trading operations)

Remote USA

Requires: Extensive developer experience with fixed income securities trading, clearance and settlement operations, C#, .NET, and SQL skills, varied trade and integration technologies. ย 

Our client is a small, fast-growing fintech firm that provides software that clears and settles mortgage-backed securities for buyside and sellside firms. The firm has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Developer who can take responsibility for the implementation, maintenance and development of the firm's lead product offering straight-through processing on traditional MBS operations (pay-offs, trade assignments, round robins and EPN allocations), and includes oversight of datacenter, connectivity, disaster recovery and the various integration methods. This leader's mission is to help set direction and grow a world-class Development & Support team in proportion to the firm's rapid growth and client needs.

This position is a unique consultant-to-partnership opportunity for a fintech executive with outstanding leadership experience in the capital markets arena. Clients include

ย asset managers, dealers, originators, hedge funds and pension funds.ย The position is fully remote within the USA and offers the potential for equity in the future.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Developer:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย Learn the product, software, connectivity to expert level enabling oversight of security infrastructure.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย Directly participate in managing direction of the firm, assisting with strategy, planning, client outreach, resource management, etc.

Qualifications of the Senior Software Developer:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย Extensive experience in fixed income securities trading, clearing and settlement operations. In-depth understanding of mortgage pool data is a plus.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย Comfortable with direct client interaction, able to assist in demos and presentations, client communications

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย Proven team leadership skills, setting direction, making key hires, allocating resources, managing budgets.

ย ย ย  ย  Technologies: C#, Microsoft: WCF/WPF, .NET, SQL, 365, Jira. Integration: FIX, flat-file, VPN, API, eMBS, SWIFT, FICC EPN

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย Not required, but a plus: knowledge of disaster recovery/business continuity planning, ISO27001 Compliance
