Job description

Summary
You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Emergency Management and Special Programs Branch of the Security Office Division of the Corporate Operations Department of NSWC PHILA DIV.
This position is equivalent to the GS-9/10 level.

Duties
Help
  • You will develop, test, procure, field, and sustain cryptographic solutions to secure Naval Surface Warfare Center,
    Philadelphia Division's (NSWCPDs) network.
  • You will be responsible for management oversight of the overall program including Key Management Infrastructure.
  • You will provide the commanding officer with information regarding new or revised Electronic Key Management System/Key Management Infrastructure (EKMS/KMI) policies and procedures and identify their impact on the mission.
  • You will develop, monitor, coordinate, process, control, transmit, and safeguard specialized communications security information.
  • You will perform careful analysis of intelligence and related information to assess vulnerabilities and to design, implement, and evaluate security plans.

  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 723, proficiency level intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position and requires DoD certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed timeframes. Certification required is: SFPC

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/10 grade level or NT-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the development or processing of Communications Security (COMSEC) policy or procedures for an organization.

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
