Job description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team and provide outstanding support to members and healthcare providers. In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound telephone inquiries related to eligibility, benefits, and general customer service needs.


The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable working with customers over the phone, researching questions, documenting interactions, and navigating multiple computer systems. Bilingual Spanish skills are required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound telephone calls from members and healthcare providers using an automated call system.
  • Respond to basic to moderately complex questions regarding eligibility, benefits, and other account-related information.
  • Research member and provider inquiries and provide accurate responses within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Document calls, inquiries, and resolutions accurately within a CRM/ticketing system.
  • Process and respond to written member requests while maintaining complete and accurate member records.
  • Update customer and member history with detailed documentation regarding inquiries and resolutions.
  • Work closely with team members, management, and other departments to resolve customer service issues.
  • Transfer or escalate calls to the appropriate personnel when additional assistance is required.
  • Make outbound calls to members in response to voicemail messages, customer requests, or other business needs.
  • Follow established procedures, quality standards, and customer service guidelines.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of customer service, call center, or telephone-based experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members, management, and other organizational departments.
  • Experience using computers, telephone systems, fax machines, and standard office software.
  • Experience with CRM, help desk, ticketing, or other customer service software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document customer interactions.
