Around the world, cities are growing, infrastructure is expanding, and the demand for reliable, efficient compact equipment has never been greater. At Takeuchi, we're helping shape that future by engineering machines that empower the people who build it.
For more than six decades, Takeuchi has been an industry pioneer - introducing the world's first compact excavator and redefining what it means to deliver quality, durability, and performance. We're investing in our people and our technology like never before, because we believe innovation begins with those who know the job best.
If you're driven to make an impact and ready to help dealers and customers succeed, Takeuchi is where you belong.
Your Impact
As a Regional Product Manager, you will serve as the product expert and market development leader for an assigned region. Working alongside the Division Sales Manager, Regional Business Manager, Dealer Development Manager, Product Management, Marketing, Training, and National Account teams, you will drive market share growth, dealer sales capability, and product adoption throughout the region. This role bridges engineering, sales, dealers, and customers by ensuring Takeuchi products are effectively positioned, demonstrated, launched, and supported in the marketplace.
In This Role, You Will:
Product Strategy & Market Development
  • Execute regional product strategies aligned with annual sales and market share objectives.
  • Identify product growth opportunities across assigned territories and customer segments.
  • Support successful execution of new product introductions and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Provide Voice of Customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
  • Identify emerging customer applications and industry trends.

Dealer Product Development & Sales Enablement
  • Develop dealer product knowledge through classroom instruction, field coaching, and demonstration training.
  • Conduct ride-alongs with dealer sales personnel to improve selling effectiveness and application knowledge.
  • Coach dealer teams on value-based selling, competitive positioning, and ROI selling.
  • Increase dealer confidence and competency in presenting Takeuchi solutions.
  • Assist dealers in developing product-focused retail sales strategies.
Product Demonstrations & Customer Support
  • Plan and execute professional product demonstrations for dealers, customers, and national accounts.
  • Support customer field evaluations, machine comparisons, and application recommendations.
  • Educate customers on machine performance, productivity, attachment utilization, and operating best practices.
  • Represent Takeuchi at trade shows, customer events, open houses, and demonstrations.
National Account & Strategic Customer Support
  • Support National Account Managers with fleet demonstrations and product evaluations.
  • Assist regional rental organizations and strategic customers with product recommendations.
  • Build relationships with key contractors, rental organizations, and industry influencers.
  • Provide product expertise during major account presentations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Management to identify product improvements and future development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on product launches and campaigns.
  • Support Training in developing dealer education programs.
  • Work closely with Regional Business Managers and Dealer Development Managers to align product initiatives with dealer business plans.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
  • Monitor competitor products, pricing strategies, promotions, and product introductions.
  • Deliver timely competitive intelligence and market insights.
  • Analyze customer trends and regional application opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting on product performance, market conditions, and competitive activity.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, equipment sales, dealer development, or construction equipment distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment applications, attachments, and customer workflows.
  • Experience conducting professional equipment demonstrations and customer presentations.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and machine technology.
  • Proven ability to influence dealer organizations without direct authority.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and business reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 70-80%).

Why Takeuchi
At Takeuchi, you're more than part of a team - you're part of a legacy built on craftsmanship, innovation, and customer focus. Here, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of compact equipment, supported by a company that values your expertise, initiative, and ideas.
We offer:
  • Competitive base pay and performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • A culture that rewards innovation, accountability, and customer excellence
