Remote Custom Farming information

What is remote custom farming?

Remote custom farming is a service where agricultural tasks such as planting, cultivating, or harvesting are managed by a professional farm operator or company, rather than the landowner, often with the assistance of digital tools and remote monitoring. This allows landowners or absentee farmers to have their fields managed efficiently without being physically present. The service can include equipment operation, crop management, and sometimes even data collection and reporting, leveraging technology for greater efficiency and transparency. Remote custom farming is especially useful for those who own farmland but lack the time, expertise, or resources to manage day-to-day operations themselves.

What are some common challenges faced in remote custom farming and how can they be addressed?

Remote custom farming professionals often encounter challenges such as coordinating tasks with on-site teams, managing equipment from a distance, and ensuring timely communication with clients. These can be addressed by leveraging advanced farm management software, establishing clear communication protocols, and scheduling regular virtual check-ins with stakeholders. Building strong relationships with local farm operators and utilizing reliable remote monitoring tools also help ensure smooth operations and high client satisfaction.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote custom farming, and why are they important?

To thrive in Remote Custom Farming, you need a solid understanding of agricultural practices, crop management, and machinery operation, often supported by experience or relevant certifications in agriculture. Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies, GPS-guided equipment, and farm management software is typically required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation are important soft skills for managing client expectations and independent work. These skills and qualities are vital for ensuring efficient, high-quality farming operations and maintaining strong client relationships in a remote setting.

Account Executive, Emerging Accounts

Bevi

New York, NY • Remote

Full-time

Posted 19 days ago

Job description

As an Account Executive, you own a book of accounts with little to no current Bevi footprint. Your job is to change that. You'll hunt net new prospects, grow accounts that are just getting started, and quarterback deals from first outreach through close. This means owning the end customer relationship and working with our channel partners to get machines placed. You'll work from a RevOps-curated account list, use our GTM tech stack to scale your outreach, and collaborate with Bevi's Partner Sales team to drive deals across the line.

Your Day to Day
  • Carry and consistently meet or exceed quota; this is a performance-driven role with clear targets and expectations
  • Own a book of accounts outside Bevi's enterprise tier with zero to five Bevi machines currently installed; your job is to grow that footprint
  • Run high-volume outbound prospecting from a provided ICP account list using Apollo for sequencing, contact management, intent signals, and activity tracking
  • Use AI and automation tools to accelerate research, personalize outreach at scale, and identify buying triggers that signal a prospect is ready to engage
  • Build relationships with end customers, understand their needs, get them to yes, and quarterback the deal through to close
  • Drive deals forward with urgency, following through consistently to ensure booked machines get installed
  • Get in the field; attend prospect meetings, demos, and events to build relationships and drive pipeline. Expect roughly 30% travel within your region.
  • Design and iterate on your own outreach playbooks: testing messaging, channels, and sequencing approaches to maximize conversion
  • Manage multiple active deals simultaneously across different stages, staying organized and moving each one forward
  • Maintain clean, current pipeline data in Salesforce, documenting activity, tracking deal velocity, and forecasting with accuracy
  • Work collaboratively with other Bevi Sales teams, especially Territory Managers, to ensure your outreach and client engagement results in machine bookings
  • Analyze your own outbound performance; identify what's working, double down on it, and cut what isn't
Requirements
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience with a track record of self-sourced pipeline and new logo acquisition
  • A hunter-farmer who's equally comfortable building pipeline from scratch and growing accounts once you've landed them
  • You navigate channel and partner dynamics well; you know how to collaborate with partners and internal teams without losing momentum on your deals
  • You're already building with AI: custom workflows, assisted research, automated sequences, enrichment, or similar
  • Proficient in Apollo or comparable sequencing platforms; you know how to build a sequence that converts
  • Analytical and data-driven in how you prioritize accounts and evaluate what's working in your outbound motion
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity;  you don't need a fully built playbook to get moving, and you're energized by the opportunity to create one
  • Strong communicator who can tailor messaging across channels and personas, from facilities buyers to the C-suite
