Job description

Description

Location: Remote, United States

Base Salary: $90,000-$120,000 + Incentive Compensation

Company: Axiom Learning

About Axiom Learning

Axiom Learning is looking for motivated sales reps to sell our transformative software products to K-12 School districts. Founded by Harvard alumni, Axiom has built software tools for students who tend to struggle the most in schools - particularly kids with identified learning challenges such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Executive Functioning Deficit and the like. We are getting tremendous traction in selling our software and curricula to K-12 schools and expect 10x growth in the coming year.

Your role will primarily involve selling our innovative digital curricula and assessments to K-12 districts within a defined geography. You will be a key player in expanding our footprint, impacting student lives, and shaping the future of education.

About the Role

This is a player-coach position for an accomplished Account Executive who has already demonstrated the ability to lead other sales professionals.

You'll own and grow your own territory while also serving as a day-to-day leader and resource for our Account Executive team.

You'll prospect, build relationships with school and district leaders, manage opportunities, and close business just like the Account Executives you lead. At the same time, you'll help strengthen team execution through coaching, deal strategy, pipeline management, accountability, and sharing what works.

We're specifically looking for someone who has done the work before. You understand the realities of carrying a quota because you've carried one yourself, and you understand the responsibility of helping other salespeople succeed because you've had meaningful leadership experience.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to remain close to customers and revenue while taking on meaningful leadership responsibility as Axiom continues to grow.

What You'll Do

Own and Grow Your Market
  • Manage an assigned sales territory and carry an individual revenue target.
  • Prospect and develop new relationships with K-12 schools and districts.
  • Build trusted relationships with superintendents, district administrators, school leaders, and other decision-makers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Develop territory strategies that create sustainable pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and accurate opportunity forecasting.
  • Represent Axiom at conferences, meetings, presentations, and other customer-facing events as needed.
Lead and Develop the Team
  • Serve as a player-coach and day-to-day resource for fellow Account Executives.
  • Coach AEs on prospecting, discovery, presentations, deal strategy, objection handling, and closing.
  • Support pipeline reviews and help identify risks, opportunities, and next steps.
  • Help establish consistent expectations and accountability across the sales team.
  • Share successful strategies and best practices across territories.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new Account Executives.
  • Partner with leadership on forecasting, territory strategy, sales process improvements, and team performance.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing future members of the sales organization.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has already demonstrated success both selling and leading. You may currently be a Senior Account Executive, Enterprise Account Executive, Regional Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or Team Lead. Your title matters less to us than your experience. The strongest candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding individual sales targets.
  • Previous experience selling into K-12 schools or districts strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience formally managing, leading, coaching, or developing sales professionals.
  • Experience owning a territory and managing a full sales cycle.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to coach others while remaining accountable for your own results.
  • A collaborative leadership style grounded in accountability and continuous improvement.

Experience in EdTech, educational services, SaaS, curriculum, assessment, professional learning, or other solutions sold to school districts is highly valued.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You're the salesperson other reps already come to when they need help with a deal. You've carried a quota, built your own pipeline, navigated complicated buying processes, and know what it takes to close. You've also had the opportunity to coach or lead other salespeople-and discovered that you enjoy helping other people become better sellers. You don't want to leave selling behind entirely for calendars, spreadsheets, and management meetings. You still enjoy being in the market, talking with customers, and winning business. But you're also ready to have a larger impact on how a sales team performs. That's the person we're looking for.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means both your territory and your team are getting better. You'll be expected to build a healthy pipeline and deliver results within your own market while helping create stronger execution across the broader sales organization.Over time, you'll help Axiom develop a sales culture defined by strong relationships, disciplined execution, continuous coaching, accountability, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for schools and students.

Why Axiom Learning?

This is an opportunity to join Axiom at an important stage of growth.Rather than stepping into a large, established sales organization where the systems and culture have already been determined, you'll have an opportunity to help shape how our sales organization operates as we scale. You'll have meaningful ownership of your own market, direct influence on the development of your teammates, and a voice in how we build the next generation of Axiom's sales organization. For the right person, this role provides an opportunity to continue doing what you do best-selling-while expanding your impact as a leader.
