About the role
  • The Marketing & Social Media Manager owns The Block's social media presence across platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, and others, along with marketing responsibilities supporting The Block's growing product portfolio.
  • The role reports to the Publisher to enhance brand visibility, audience engagement, and traffic to editorial, research, and other content, while supporting go-to-market efforts for products including SaaS, certification, and enterprise offerings.
  • This role is highly visible to the CEO and senior leadership, with regular opportunities to present results and shape strategic direction.

What you'll do
  • Own and execute a comprehensive, platform-specific social media strategy aligned with The Block's overall business objectives.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content, such as text posts, graphics, videos, and reels, while ensuring consistent quality and brand messaging.
  • Support product marketing efforts, including positioning, messaging, launch campaigns, and promotional content for The Block's research, SaaS, certification, and enterprise offerings.
  • Monitor audience interactions, respond to comments, and foster community engagement to build loyalty among readers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts.
  • Plan and implement social media and marketing campaigns, including budget management, ad creation, and optimization, to amplify reach, drive targeted traffic to The Block's website, and generate demand for The Block's products.
  • Collaborate with editorial, multimedia, product, and sales teams to integrate social media and marketing efforts with content production, product launches, partnered content, and reputation management.
  • Analyze performance data across social and marketing channels to refine strategies, identify trends in the cryptocurrency space, and mitigate risks such as reputational issues associated with misguided social content.
  • Stay abreast of platform algorithms, emerging trends, and best practices in social media and product marketing for news and media organizations, particularly in fast-paced sectors.
  • Work with leadership team on corporate marketing efforts, especially with strategic partners and corporate PR.

Work location & Authorization

Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this role is 95,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD per year (Remote in the United States). The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. the Block considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
