Type: 12-month contract*
Pay: $80.00/hour, based on experience and credentials
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave
Location: Remote | Must be located within 50 miles of Beaverton, OR or Phoenix, AZ

  • Design, develop, debug, test, and maintain high-volume enterprise web applications.
  • Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, prototyping, programming, testing, debugging, and production support.
  • Develop applications using C#/.NET, ASP.NET MVC, AngularJS, SQL Server, and related technologies.
  • Use AI development tools and AI agents as part of the daily software development process to automate tasks, create workflows, and improve development efficiency.
  • Participate in technical design and implementation decisions and proactively identify specifications or approaches that could create performance, quality, or architectural concerns.
  • Develop and support multi-tier components for high-volume systems.
  • Work within an Agile Scrum development environment.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, engineering leadership, and business teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Serve as a technical resource to fellow developers and share expertise across the development team.
  • Mentor other software engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
  • Organize competing priorities, manage workload effectively, and consistently deliver work on schedule.

Requirements
You bring:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including experience with C#, Java, Python, or comparable programming languages.
  • Strong professional experience developing applications using C#/.NET.
  • 3+ years of web application development experience using ASP.NET.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Framework 4.8 or later.
  • Experience developing applications using AngularJS.
  • Experience working with the MVC framework.
  • 5+ years of SQL Server database development experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience developing multi-tier components for high-volume systems.
  • Experience using AI agents or AI development tools to chain tasks, automate processes, or create development workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a development team.
Even better if you have:
  • Entity Framework experience.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, including React and Angular.
  • ASP.NET Web API experience.
  • Experience with load-balancing technologies.
  • An advanced degree or additional technical training in a related field.
  • Additional experience developing applications with C#/.NET/ASP.NET.
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to other software developers.
Additional Assignment Information
  • The interview process is expected to include two video interviews: an initial interview with the hiring manager followed by a technical interview.
  • This assignment may have the potential for extension or conversion to a full-time position, depending on business conditions.
  • A technical assessment will be required as part of the candidate submission process.

Benefits
