What are remote cruise line jobs?

Remote cruise line jobs are work-from-home positions focused on helping customers plan and book a trip with a cruise line. Your duties in these positions include answering client questions about a cruise line or trip, booking reservations, canceling or modifying reservations, generating sales through outbound calls and upselling, and providing general customer service. You carry out your responsibilities from a home office, so you need a quiet area with a dedicated phone line and workspace in which to take calls and assist customers. These jobs are either part-time or full-time and require some evening and weekend work.

What are remote cruise line jobs?

Remote cruise line jobs are positions within the cruise industry that can be performed from a location outside of a ship or company office, typically from home. These roles often include customer service representatives, travel agents, reservation specialists, marketing professionals, and IT support staff. Remote cruise line workers help customers book cruises, provide information, resolve issues, and support cruise operations from afar. The rise of digital technology has made it possible for many support and administrative functions to be handled remotely. This flexibility allows cruise lines to operate efficiently while offering employees the opportunity to work from anywhere.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote cruise line customer service representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Cruise Line Customer Service Representative, you need strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience in customer service, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with reservation systems, CRM software, and online communication tools is typically required. Patience, adaptability, and a customer-oriented mindset help you deliver exceptional service and handle diverse guest concerns remotely. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the cruise line's reputation in a virtual work environment.

What are some unique challenges faced by employees working remotely for a cruise line, and how can they effectively collaborate with ship-based teams?

Employees working remotely for a cruise line often face the challenge of coordinating with colleagues and teams who are physically onboard ships, sometimes across different time zones and with limited connectivity. Effective communication is key—using reliable collaboration tools such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and project management platforms helps bridge the distance. It’s important to establish clear expectations, maintain regular check-ins, and be flexible with meeting times to accommodate ship schedules. Building strong working relationships and understanding shipboard operations can also enhance collaboration and ensure smooth workflow.

Job description

Job Title: National Account Manager - Travel & Hospitality

Location:  Remote with significant travel

Division: Revenue

Department: Business Development

Base Salary Range: $190,000 - $200,000

About Us:

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) (Nasdaq: QUBT) is an innovative, integrated photonics company that provides accessible and affordable quantum machines to the world today. QCi products are designed to operate at room temperature and low power at an affordable cost. The Company’s portfolio of core technology and products offer unique capabilities in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security as well as remote sensing applications.

Scope of the Job:

We are hiring a senior National Account Manager (NAM) to own and grow our most strategic Travel & Hospitality accounts — global airlines, hotel and resort groups, cruise lines, online travel agencies and booking platforms, car-rental and transportation companies, and the technology providers that serve them. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role for a seasoned enterprise seller who has spent a career opening doors at the largest global travel and hospitality organizations and translating complex, emerging technology into board-level business value.

You will operate at the intersection of frontier photonics and the optimization-intensive engines that run modern travel — pricing, scheduling, and logistics at massive scale — selling a portfolio that includes both advanced software/subscription offerings and enterprise-grade quantum and photonic hardware. Success in this role requires equal fluency in the language of revenue management, the digital and technology roadmap, and the operations and security organizations — and the credibility to earn multi-year commitments from CTOs, CIOs, Chief Digital Officers, CISOs, Heads of Revenue Management, and procurement at the world's leading travel and hospitality brands.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Own strategic travel & hospitality accounts. Take full ownership of a portfolio of named, large global travel and hospitality accounts — building and executing account plans that grow QCI's footprint, revenue, and multi-year commitments.
  • Sell the full portfolio. Position and close both software/subscription solutions and enterprise-wide hardware deployments, constructing solutions that combine quantum optimization, photonic ML, and quantum-secure offerings to the client's business problem.
  • Engage the C-suite. Develop and sustain executive relationships across technology, digital, revenue-management, operations, security, and procurement functions, and serve as the trusted advisor who connects QCI capabilities to measurable revenue, cost, and guest-experience outcomes.
  • Lead complex, long-cycle deals. Orchestrate multi-stakeholder, multi-quarter enterprise sales cycles — navigating proofs of concept, technical evaluations, security and vendor-risk reviews, legal, and procurement — from qualification through signature.
  • Quarterback the deal team. Marshal solutions engineers, product, research, legal, and executive sponsors to advance opportunities, tailoring the message to each stakeholder without losing the through-line to business value.
  • Build durable pipeline. Prospect and develop new opportunities within existing global accounts while maintaining a rigorous, accurately-forecasted pipeline in the CRM.
  • Own the number. Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets, and provide clear, disciplined forecasting to leadership.
  • Be the voice of the market. Bring competitive intelligence and client requirements back to product and research teams to shape QCI's travel-and-hospitality roadmap.
  • Negotiate enterprise agreements. Structure and close complex commercial agreements — subscriptions, licenses, hardware purchases, and multi-year enterprise contracts — that balance client value with QCI's growth objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience selling into large, global travel and hospitality organizations (airlines, hotel/resort groups, cruise lines, online travel agencies and booking platforms, or transportation companies).
  • Proven experience selling BOTH enterprise software (or SaaS/subscription solutions) AND enterprise-wide hardware into large global travel and hospitality organizations — with a demonstrable track record of closing deals in each category.
  • Consistent, quantifiable overachievement against large enterprise quotas, including complex six- and seven-figure (or larger) transactions.
  • Deep executive network and access within global travel and hospitality companies, and a demonstrated ability to open and expand relationships at the C-suite and senior-VP level.
  • Command of long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, formal procurement, security/vendor-risk assessment, and technical evaluation.
  • Business-value selling. The ability to translate advanced, technically sophisticated products into clear ROI and outcomes that resonate with travel and hospitality executives.
  • Rigorous pipeline and forecast discipline, with fluency in a modern CRM and a recognized sales methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, Miller Heiman, or similar).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to client sites across major global travel and hospitality markets.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Domain knowledge of travel & hospitality workflows such as revenue management and dynamic pricing, network/route and crew scheduling, demand forecasting, loyalty personalization, logistics optimization, or fraud detection.
  • Experience selling emerging or frontier technology — quantum computing, AI/ML, HPC, or advanced analytics — into large, operationally-complex buyers.
  • Familiarity with travel-industry systems and standards (e.g., GDS/CRS, property-management and revenue-management systems, booking and distribution platforms, and enterprise procurement processes).
  • Established relationships within revenue-management, digital/technology, operations, or CISO organizations at global travel and hospitality companies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering, or quantitative field; advanced degree a plus.

What Success Looks Like:

Within your first year you will have mapped and prioritized your named accounts, established or deepened executive relationships across each, built a qualified multi-product pipeline, and closed foundational deals that position QCI as a strategic technology partner — not a science project — inside the world's leading travel and hospitality organizations.
