Key Responsibilities- Conduct remote counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families using approved telehealth technology, ensuring a compassionate and client-centered approach.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns, collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans that set clear, measurable objectives.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to address emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges faced by clients.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention, employing risk assessment tools to ensure client safety and well-being during high-stress scenarios.
- Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment notes and progress assessments, in line with ethical standards and legal requirements.
- Enhance client understanding of mental health by educating them about conditions, coping mechanisms, and available resources, fostering a proactive approach to their mental health management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and community organizations, to provide comprehensive care that addresses the full spectrum of clients’ needs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training, staying current with advancements in mental health practices and telehealth technologies.
Your primary focus will be on a diverse client population, including adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health challenges. You will work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more, providing them with the support necessary to overcome their personal hurdles. This role is pivotal in creating a nurturing environment for clients to explore and address their mental health concerns actively.
Qualifications- Must hold a current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts or relevant state.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field is required; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- At least two years of experience providing mental health counseling services, preferably in remote or telehealth settings.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients.
- Experience using telehealth platforms and managing technology-based interactions with clients.
- A profound commitment to ethical and confidential counseling practices in line with industry standards.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
- Flexibility in work hours to accommodate varying client availability.
- Experience delivering counseling services in an outpatient office setting.
- Familiarity with integrative counseling methodologies that consider physical, psychological, and social factors in client treatment.
