This full-time position offers the flexibility of working from home while providing essential mental health services in an outpatient setting. Our ideal candidate will hold a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and possess at least two years of relevant experience.

About the Organization

Progressive Counseling Center is dedicated to offering compassionate, evidence-based mental health services. Located in Tucson, Arizona, we are an outpatient psychiatric office that prioritizes patient-centered care. Our team of professionals collaborates closely to provide tailored treatment addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. We recognize the diverse needs of our patients, and our mission is to create a nurturing environment conducive to healing and wellness.

As a remote employee, you will enjoy the benefits of working from your own space while being part of a supportive team that values your contributions. Our work culture emphasizes collaboration, making it essential for therapists to engage actively with colleagues and our leadership team through regular meetings, training sessions, and comprehensive case consultations. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient schedules and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine clients' individual needs and establish personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational seminars and support groups aimed at community engagement and client empowerment.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and thorough documentation in line with state and federal regulations, ensuring the highest standards of legal and ethical practice.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and participation in workshops relevant to emerging mental health trends.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in therapeutic techniques and interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will interact with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families who seek assistance for various mental health conditions. Our patient population is primarily comprised of adults experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, relationship conflicts, and substance use issues. Understanding the unique backgrounds and cultures of our clients is vital to providing effective and empathetic care.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
  • Strong foundation in mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and current therapeutic practices.
  • Experience conducting mental health assessments and creating structured treatment plans.
  • Ability to deliver effective individual and group therapy to a wide range of patients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Experience with specific populations like youth, families, or those struggling with substance use would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
Compensation and Benefits
