Position Overview

Progressive Counseling Center is actively seeking motivated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors, including Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), to join our dedicated team. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to make a substantial impact in the lives of individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges.

Work Environment

As a licensed mental health counselor at Progressive Counseling Center, you will work remotely while being an integral part of our outpatient psychiatric practice. Communication tools and telehealth technology facilitate seamless collaboration with team members, allowing you to provide high-quality care to your patients. Our schedule primarily runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs and ensure comprehensive treatment availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed mental health assessments, establishing a clinical understanding of patients’ needs, preferences, and challenges.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans employing a variety of methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate individualized therapy sessions as well as group therapy and psychoeducational workshops aimed at building coping skills and community support networks.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to harmonize patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and develop safety plans for patients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
  • Uphold professional documentation standards, maintaining confidentiality while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical mandates.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to refine your skills and share knowledge.
  • Stay informed about emergent research and best practices in mental health care through ongoing education and training opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Progressive Counseling Center, we serve a diverse population that includes individuals grappling with a broad spectrum of mental health issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and substance use disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and we prioritize culturally competent care to meet their unique needs effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with a range of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and craft effective, measurable treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy across diverse populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Proficient in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems to optimize patient care.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational groups focused on mental health awareness and skill development.
Compensation and Benefits
