Summary
  • As a Senior Professional Application Designer at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve - a community's most vulnerable. This role is involved in the development of the product and involves access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and possibly secured/confidential client data.

Your role in our mission
  • Work with clinical business analytics advisor to develop criteria for rules called by pharmacy claims processing to determine if the member meets the criteria for the drug to be paid. This includes configuration in the system, testing, documentation, and implementation.
  • Configuration, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting rules called by claims processing that determine if a drug meets criteria to be paid. Assists in the modification of company products to meet business needs.
  • Gathers information from the system, analyses program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing rules.
  • Recommends specific product configurations to assist with overall system design and integration.
  • Configures, implements, and provides complex product support activities to meet business needs.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans to verify rules, conduct peer reviews, and execute regression testing strategies.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including rule criteria documents, and testing summaries.
  • Exposure to Cloud-based technologies like Azure / AWS
  • Knowledge of US healthcare is a plus.

What we're looking for
  • 6+ years of Database Development experience to include:
    • 4+ years of data warehouse
    • 2+ years of designing, implementing and supporting interfaces
    • Advanced data analytics and SQL
    • Advanced testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
    • Medicaid, HIPAA and PHI
    • Healthcare IT Systems, Medicaid Claims Processing
    • Visio, Excel, Word

The pay range for this position is $64,700.00 - $92,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
