Job description

About Betterworks

Betterworks is HR software to align, develop and activate your workforce for business growth.  Organizations are able to replace outdated, ineffective, universally loathed annual review processes with powerful Continuous Performance Management programs that help managers be better at the conversations, coaching, and development necessary to inspire and motivate the entire workforce to achieve an organization's top priorities today and be ready for tomorrow's challenges.

We're at an exciting inflection point, and we're looking for a commercially-minded partnerships leader to build the ecosystem that helps power our next stage of growth.

This is a remote US opportunity!

The Opportunity

This isn't a relationship management role; it's a business development role with a partnerships lens. While working remotely, you'll be responsible for identifying, landing, and scaling the partner relationships that generate pipeline, accelerate deals, and expand our market presence. You'll work closely with sales, marketing, and product to ensure every partnership is tied to a real business outcome.

If you thrive in a hunting environment, know how to turn a conversation into a commercial agreement, and have a genuine network in the HR tech space, we want to talk.

What You'll Own

  • Build the partnerships motion from the ground up: develop and execute a strategy across consulting partners, technology alliances, and channel relationships that directly drives revenue and market expansion

  • Source and close: identify high-value partnership opportunities, lead commercial negotiations, and structure win-win agreements, including co-sell, referral, and co-marketing arrangements

  • Convert relationships into pipeline: work hand-in-glove with the sales team to activate partners and ensure partner-sourced opportunities move through the funnel

  • Enable your partners: develop the positioning, collateral, and playbooks that make it easy for partners to bring Betterworks into their client conversations

  • Manage and grow: track partnership performance rigorously, identify what's working, double down on it, and cut what isn't

  • Represent Betterworks externally: be a visible, credible presence at HR industry events and in the consulting community

What You Bring

  • 4+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances with direct exposure to revenue targets and commercial deal-making

  • HR tech experience is required.  You need to speak the language of CHRO buyers, HR consultants, and the broader people tech ecosystem

  • A strong existing network in the HR advisory, consulting, or technology space

  • Proven ability to take a partnership from the first conversation to a signed agreement to active pipeline contribution

  • Sharp commercial instincts; you think about partnerships in terms of revenue impact, not just relationship health

  • A self-starter who's comfortable building in ambiguity and operating without a large team behind you

Why This Role

  • Real ownership;  you're not inheriting someone else's partner book, you're building it

  • Direct line to leadership and meaningful influence on GTM strategy

  • Competitive base + commission tied to partner-sourced pipeline

  • A product that HR consultants and partners genuinely want to put in front of their clients

What We All Do

  • All employees share the responsibility of being aware of information security risks and adhering to information security policies and procedures.
  • All employees are required to participate in information security awareness and training programs.
  • All employees are responsible for handling data in accordance with data classification and handling guidelines. Employees should be aware of the sensitivity of the data they interact with and follow appropriate security measures.
  • All employees are responsible for reporting information security incidents in accordance with information security policies and procedures.

What Makes Betterworks Unique

At Betterworks, we prioritize our people. In that spirit, we've put together a great benefits program to support our employees' health and wellness that includes the following:
