The group partners with clients across a range of strategic, medical, brand, and commercial communications needs through compliant, audience-focused engagement.

The Practice Lead, Medical and Scientific Communications will lead a specialized healthcare communications practice within IQVIA Health Communications Group, with accountability for client relationships, growth, business development, operational alignment, and people leadership. This leader will be responsible for building a differentiated, scalable offering that combines scientific credibility, stakeholder engagement, medical communications expertise, and technology-enabled delivery. The role will work closely with colleagues across IQVIA to expand client impact, support responsible adoption of new ways of working, and identify opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Lead a specialized medical and scientific communications business within IQVIA Health Communications Group, with accountability for clients, revenue, growth, delivery excellence, and people.

Drive sustainable practice growth through client retention, organic account expansion, and new-business development.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and actively participate in strategic client engagements.

Develop account growth plans and ensure teams identify and pursue opportunities across existing client relationships.

Lead new-business efforts in partnership with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Connect medical and scientific communications offerings with relevant data, technology, analytics, and broader organizational capabilities to create differentiated client solutions.

Develop and scale a unified market proposition and approach to client delivery that reflects IQVIA Health Communications Group's breadth of scientific, strategic, creative, and technology-enabled capabilities.

Establish disciplined business planning, performance tracking, and forecasting processes to identify risks and opportunities early.

Partner with operational leadership to align staffing, delivery capacity, and projected client demand.

Support workflow improvements that enable efficient, high-quality delivery across teams and locations.

Champion responsible adoption of technology-enabled tools and more efficient, insight-informed ways of working.

Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team while maintaining a collaborative, inclusive, and client-focused culture.

Communicate business priorities clearly and guide employees through growth, transformation, and organizational change.

Qualifications

10+ years of leadership experience in healthcare communications, HCP engagement, medical communications, pharmaceutical marketing, or a related agency environment.

Demonstrated success leading and growing a business, portfolio, or client group of comparable scale.

Proven ability to expand existing client relationships and win new business.

Strong senior-level client presence and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships.

Experience selling integrated solutions that may include communications, content, data, technology, analytics, or related capabilities.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $159,300.00 - $443,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
