The ideal candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality mental health care to adolescents and young adults experiencing significant emotional and psychological challenges. As a virtual mental health counselor, you will conduct assessments, facilitate therapy sessions, and collaborate with other treatment professionals to ensure a streamlined, effective treatment experience for our clients.

About the Organization

At Duality Mental Health Services, we recognize the urgent mental health crisis affecting today’s youth, marked by rising rates of depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our mission is to eliminate the geographical and financial barriers that hinder access to mental health support. We provide innovative, evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate individual therapy, group sessions, and family involvement. By fostering connections among young individuals with shared experiences, we achieve remarkable clinical outcomes and support long-lasting healing.

Work Environment

This full-time position allows you to work entirely from home within a supportive telehealth framework. Our operations team manages all administrative tasks, allowing you to focus solely on providing exceptional care. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, ensuring integrated and coordinated care for our clients, while enjoying a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough virtual assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health histories, including substance abuse screenings, while adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored for adolescents and young adults.
  • Collaborate closely with treatment team members to develop holistic care plans that consider the full range of client needs.
  • Provide education and support for clients’ families, encouraging their involvement and strengthening the overall recovery process.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records, ensuring compliance with health care regulations and organizational protocols.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on adolescents and young adults grappling with various mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance use challenges. You will create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Active state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD is essential.
  • Proficiency in delivering telehealth therapy and engaging with clients in a virtual setting.
  • Commitment to participating in training for our evidence-based care pathways to ensure best practice approaches in treatment.
  • Advanced proficiency in using technology, including familiarity with Google Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to clients and collaborate with team members.
  • A professional demeanor and presentation, along with empathetic engagement skills to connect with clients on a personal level.
Preferred Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly to adolescents and young adults.
  • Comfortable working in a home environment that ensures the confidentiality and privacy of client information, alongside a reliable internet connection.
  • Experience utilizing treatment frameworks focused on trauma-informed care and client-centered approaches.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan options, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and continuing education to advance your career.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Duality Mental Health Services, we prioritize career development and provide ample opportunities for professional growth. Our commitment to training and continuous learning encourages you to enhance your skills, explore specialized areas within mental health, and build a fulfilling career path in our supportive environment.

Why Join Our Team
